Software update for VEDA-in programmable logic controllers
Feb 24
A new version of the VEDA-in PCT programming environment. The software works on all VIC line controllers. One of the features of the new version is the offline PC simulator.
The added feature is a simulator that allows you to simulate and test the operation of programs for programmable logic controllers. It is a powerful tool that helps automate and simplify the process of developing and debugging automation systems. The working window of the offline simulator is shown in the figure below.
Using an offline simulator allows engineers and programmers to test the program before installing it in a real environment. This saves time, money and reduces the risk of errors when implementing automation systems.
Advantages of the offline simulator:
- Ease of use
A simulator is a tool that provides simulation of a controller in a programming environment. It has an intuitive user interface, which makes it easy to use. Thanks to this, even novice users can easily develop and debug programs for VEDA-in PLC controllers. - Saving time
Thanks to the ability to debug the program without the need for the physical presence of hardware, developers can quickly fix errors and check the functionality of the program. - Improving the quality of the program
Developers can test the program under various operating conditions before deploying it on real hardware. This allows you to identify potential problems and fix them at the development stage, which helps to improve the quality of the program and eliminate possible failures. - Safety
The offline simulator provides an opportunity to test programs without risk. In case of an error in the program, the simulator simply shuts down the model without hitting the real equipment. This allows developers to fix the bug and continue debugging without having to replace damaged components.
